Presidents Message, September 2009
Dear Colleague and Fellow Member:
Having lobbied the U of I College of Law for an invitation to a “Peers Pub” for several years, we finally received one, attended quite well and those lawyers attending had a great opportunity to interact with a goodly number of students. Thanks to those of you who attended. Our presence put a good face on the local bar.
The following three significant events – events that you are going to mark on your calendar as you read this – will occur between now and the end of this calendar year:

CCBA will provide Beer, Wine & appetizers
Thursday, October 29, 2009 – ARDC Presentation on
New Rules of Professional Conduct
Courtroom A – 3:30 p.m.
This course is CLE approved.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 – Holiday Dinner/Dance
Happy Hour – 5:30 p.m.
Dinner – 6:30 p.m.
Please don’t let the myriad of all those other organizations to which you belong mess with these dates.
